Things to Do in Twin Falls, Idaho

Our favorite local spots — from waterfalls to restaurants.

Twin Falls, Idaho is more than a stopover — it's a destination. Trout Lodge On Rock Creek puts you 7 minutes from downtown and within easy reach of everything the Magic Valley has to offer.

Waterfalls & Scenic Views

Shoshone Falls — Just 10 minutes from the lodge. At 212 feet, it's higher than Niagara Falls. $5 per car. Best flow in spring, but worth a visit any time of year.

Perrine Bridge — Walk out over the Snake River Canyon and watch BASE jumpers leap from 486 feet. One of the only places in the U.S. where BASE jumping is legal year-round. Free.

Auger Falls — A locals' favorite canyon rim hike with trails that drop down to the Snake River. Great for an easy morning outing.

Box Canyon — A collapsed lava tube with a 60-foot year-round waterfall. One of the most photogenic spots in the Magic Valley. Idaho State Parks pass or day-use fee required.

On the Water

AWOL Adventure Sports at Centennial Waterfront Park — Kayak and paddleboard rentals on the Snake River. 2-hour rentals are perfect for a casual paddle under the Perrine Bridge. Go 4 hours to reach Pillar Falls, or 6 hours for the full trip to Shoshone Falls by kayak. They also run zip line tours through the canyon.

Dierkes Lake — Swimming, hiking, and rock climbing right next to Shoshone Falls.

Fishing

Rock Creek runs right below the lodge, and the Snake River is minutes away. Rainbow trout, brown trout, smallmouth bass, and even white sturgeon (catch-and-release) are all in the area. Bring your gear or book a guided trip through Idaho Guide Service.
